About
One of the most distinctive of all bamboos. Short culms uoto 1.5m with swollen nodes, the most distinctive part of this bamboo. Grows in a mushroom of foliage. This bamboo is a runner, it will take over the garden but is a captive beauty in a pot.
What you will recieve
The bamboo will arrive in a 15ltr pot and stand 4ft tall.
Planting and Care
Plant with the addition of some organic matter and water in well do not let the plant dry out in the first six months its in the ground after this it should look after its self. The best food a bamboo can have is its own dead leaves and culm sheaths so leave them to mulch the base of the plant.

Soil
Any reasonable soil is ok add organic matter to help the bamboo establish.
Container growing
Chimonobambusa is best suited to growing in a pot use a good loam based compost and dont let it dry out feed regularly.
