About

Origin
Central Asia
Planting and care
This fern prefers dryer conditions, in a shady, sheltered position
Soil
Ferns will grow on most soils as long as your soil is not at the extreme ends of the pH scale (on chalk ). Adding organic matter to your soil will help retain moisture in a sandy soil or open up the structure of a clay soil to stop water logging. Adding a good mulch will also help keep down weeds.
Uses
Great plants for the shady garden border, woodland planting creating a fernery or stumpery or as pot plants for a shady spot.
