About
Fascicularia bicolour is a bromeliad from Chile that has long, thin dark green leaves and small teeth along the leaf margins that form clumps of rosettes. In early summer a bright red and blue flower appears in the middle of these rosettes. A very interesting exotic plant that has plenty of great uses: you can grow it in gutters or old tree stumps; attatch it to a trachycarpus or tree fern, or plant it as a pot plant.
Origin

Planting and care
Best planted in full sun or light shade and in well drained soil. It will make a great pot plant, use a good soil-based compost and add a third grit for drainage. It prefers to be kept dry during winter.
