What you get
You will receive a 3ltr pot, with the plant standing 1-2ft tall with 5-6 culms.
About
Pseudosasa japonica is an upright thicket forming bamboo with olive green culms, maturing to pale beige. Grows to 4m in height with long, drooping mid green leaves. It has an upright and architectural habit and is great as screening, hedging, a windbreak or pot plant.
Planting and care
Best planted in sun or partial shade.
After it's planted make sure it's kept moist for atleast the first 6 months. When in the ground, once established it will mostly look after itself.
The best food a bamboo can have is its own leaves and culm sheafs, so leave them to mulch the plant. If you're worried about the bamboo running you can use a bamboo barrier or grow it in a pot using a good soil based compost, keeping it well fed and watered.
Soil
Any reasonable soil is ok, add organic matter to help the bamboo establish.
