Agave wocomahi is the sweet Agave used by the Wariho Indians to make and eat mescal. It's a medium sized Agave with glaucous green leaves that have teeth along the margins and ends in a terminal spike. A rare plant in cultivation, it naturally grows in the oak and pine covered mountainside. Must be kept in well drained soil and kept dry in the winter.
